www.elizpl.orgElizabeth Public Library.  Click on Online Catalog, then click on Kids Library, then for many of the assignments click on Kids Concerns. If you would like to find books in Spanish or need to find books on a special subject click on Online Catalog, and then click on Power Search. You can search by subject, limit by language, such as Spanish and location . 

www.csusm.edu/csh/ - Barahona Center for the Study of Books in Spanish for Children and Adolescents. Written in English and Spanish, this site lists recommended books for children in Spanish. You can search by topic such as “emotions and divorce” for books published in Spanish on these subjects.

 

www.acpl.lib.in.us/children/booklist.html  - Different booklists. Bilingual books, Parent’s Primer- several booklists that list children’s books that explore sensitive issues such as divorce, illness. This web site is from The Allen County Public Library.

 

www.colorincolorado.org  - This is a bi-lingual web site for families and educators of English language learners. If you click on Books and Families, and then click on Books for Kids you will find booklists on different themes.

 

www.unitedthroughreading.org/about/booklist -  United Through Reading web site. They have a booklist of recommended children’s books by topic and ages. Some of the topics that are  listed are fears, health and safety, adoption,  babies and toddlers, family and family issues. Etc.
