Schedule a visit to EPL for your school or group, or invite us to come to you.

School groups, summer camps, and after-school programs are not permitted to attend programs open to the public.

K–12 Field Trips

Thank you for considering a trip to our library! To ensure a smooth visit, please review these guidelines before scheduling.

What We'll Need to Schedule Your Date

  • Possible Dates: Two possible dates for your visit
  • School: Name of your school
  • Number of Students: Total attending
  • Grade: Grade level of the students
  • Library Cards: Whether students will need them for the visit
  • Desired Location: Which branch you'd like to visit

Group Size

  • Up to 40 students per visit at Main — larger groups are split into two separate visits
  • Elmora, Eport, and LaCorte branches are limited to 30 students per visit

Advance Notice

  • Please schedule at least two months ahead to ensure availability — requests made within two months of the desired date may not be guaranteed

Library Card Applications

  • All students requiring cards must fill out applications before the visit
  • Applications go to Circulation, which needs a minimum of one week before the visit to process and issue cards
  • Cards will not be issued on the day of your visit — staff will notify you once they're ready for pickup

College & Adult Groups

Schedule a visit for college classes, ESL programs, adult education groups, or community organizations.

  • Includes: Guided building tours, research database orientations, and on-site library card registration.
  • Advance Notice: Please submit your request at least 3 weeks in advance.

EPL Visits You

Invite EPL staff to your school, senior center, or community event for storytimes, book talks, or pop-up card registration.

Pre-K–12 Groups

  • Storytimes, book talks, and library resource workshops for Elizabeth schools
  • Advance Notice: Minimum 3 weeks prior
