STAGE TWO INFORMATION
All due dates on all materials have been extended to September 30th. We will not be charging fines until that date. The book drop at Main is currently open - library materials may be returned there. The book drop at Elmora will be opened on Monday, June 29th and at LaCorte and Eport, on July 6th. All materials can be returned to any of those two branches.

Reopening and Curbside Pickup
Curbside pickup of materials will start Monday, June 29th at our Main location. We hope to begin curbside pickup at Elmora on July 6th. Information about curbside pickup service at LaCorte and Eport will be announced as soon as possible.
Curbside pickup is being offered for items placed on hold only. [See “Holds & Reserves” below.]
News on when the library will open to the public will follow shortly.
Hold & Reserves
Elizabeth Public Library will begin accepting holds for EPL materials only on June 29th. In requesting an item, you must have an accurate title. Unfortunately, at this time you will be unable to browse for materials. Holds can be placed on books and DVDs through our online catalog. Holds cannot be placed on magazines or newspapers.
The library will contact you to arrange a curbside pickup appointment time.
If you want to use our curbside pickup service, but not have a specific book in mind, you can submit a Book Request Form at tinyurl.com/eplra or call (908) 242-6130 between 12:00pm and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
An EPL Library card is required to access our online resources, including ebooks and audiobooks. If your library card has expired, you can email us (at email@example.com) and we will extend your privileges. If you have forgotten your PIN, you can email us and we will provide you with your PIN. If you do not have a card, you can email us and we will provide you with account information. Any cards that would have expired during the COVID-19 closure will not expire until September 30th, 2020.
New EPL cards created via email during the COVID-19 closure are for virtual resources only, including our online databases and music, audiobooks and ebooks accessible from Hoopla or eLibraryNJ. To borrow physical materials, you will need to upgrade your card with proof of Elizabeth residency (or work in Elizabeth/school in Elizabeth) and a photo ID.

Local History Room
The Elizabeth Public Library Local History Room is currently closed. Some resources, including digitized editions of the Elizabeth Daily Journal are available remotely. On June 23rd, Elizabeth City Council extended the expiration date of any Elizabeth City ID that expired during the COVID-19 closure to December 31, 2020. ESL and HSE Classes
Literacy NJ is currently running classes online and will continue to do so, when the new classes start in September.

TASC testing is suspended until further notice. We hope to resume testing as soon as possible after our reopening to the public, but no date for reopening to the public has set. If you need your test scores, access to your transcript, or have any questions regarding the TASC Test, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Accessing Your Library Account
You can see details on your account (checkouts, hold, etc.) by logging in at https://lmac.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/elizabeth/, and clicking on the My Account button at the top of the page. You can also access your account through our app LMxPressPlus, which is available from both Google Play and the App Store. Trouble Accessing Online Resources
You must have a valid EPL card and PIN to access many of our online resources. [See “Library Cards”]
We have received reports of possible system overloads. For example, some patrons have reported having had authentication issues with Hoopla, even though the patron credentials were good. Our library consortium suspects that Hoopla’s authentication servers may be having some type of capacity issues. If this is happening to you, please wait a bit and then try again. If the problem persists, please contact us again and we will investigate further.
At this time, use of the meeting is suspended. Following advisory information from the CDC and other organizations, EPL does not anticipate accepting reservations on our meeting rooms until January 2021.
All reservations for dates during the coronavirus quarantine are canceled; if a deposit for a meeting room was made, it will be refunded when the Library following the August 5th Board meeting.
